Friday, May 25 – Lots of things happening

  • Well I think I have hit the ultimate point of laziness, because I am tired of writing up three lines for every show to go on my front page, plus I have a bunch of regular venues now, so I decided to do a schedule overhaul. You can now find my schedule at . I think there’s even a way to subscribe to the schedule and have notices sent to your email or even text messages on your cell phone! Now there’s no excuse for anyone to ever tell me “Moe, I had no idea when you’re playing.” So now, the schedule is in an even EASIER place to find than the quasi-facilitated front page schedule. Again, every location listed on Google Calendar has a SLURL to teleport to. I decided to start using this because Mozilla Thunderbird has a calendar tool called Lightning and a tool to update Google Calendar from Lightning. I’ve found that this is by far the easiest way to put everything into one solid place.
  • Next, I have decided to start getting the MoeCAST rolling, so I’m going to be on Podshow at moecast.podshow.com. Does this mean I’ll stop uploading files to my own server? No. Podshow is just another way I can start archiving the show on a site to get more traffic, both for me, and for my guests. They deserve the best, so I’m working my butt off to get this show onto different sites like Twitter and Talkshoe. I’m not even sure of what the full functionality these sites have to offer, but it’s going to be an interesting trek to find out.
  • FINALLY, I have a show today at Galveston, 5pm SLT. I’ll even have a Google Calendar button to click at the show. Take care folks!

Wednesday update

Not really a lot of news.  Weirdharold Cave posted an interview of me here.  I’ve been working on mixing my new CD that will be coming out this summer before SLCC.  I’ll be sure to bring plenty of copies.  I’m not sure of the extent of what it will take to print a quality copy, so I’ll be looking into that.  If anyone has any suggestions, you can always E-mail me using the contact form below.  There’s no MoeCAST this week, but June 6th will feature Jaycatt Nico and Frogg Marlowe.  I think I may have mentioned that in a previous post, but oh well!

Friday, May 18th

Hey folks!  Keiko’s MoeCAST is finally done!  It was such a pleasure to work with her.  She has such a cute personality and an awesome musical style.

Later today, I’ll be playing my weekly Friday show at Galveston, 5pm SLT.  Afterwards, Frogg and Jaycatt have a show somewhere.  They usually start around 7pm, so check events.

Time Correction! 5:30pm SLT!

Today I am opening for Frogg and Jaycatt at Dolmere Talamasca‘s venue, The Shelter, starting at 5:30pm (not 4:30). They go on at 6:30, so free up your evening!!!

Oh BTW, if anyone has any advice of how to get a podcast up on iTunes, please contact me:

MoeCAST Episode 002 – Keiko

Episode 002 – Keiko
5pm SLT, Wednesday, May16, 2007 – MoeTown

Download.mp3 (46.3 MB)

Join me for the second episode of the MoeCAST at MoeTown in Bali Hai for some great original music with my very special guest, Keiko Takamura. Keiko has one of the most unique voices among the array of SL singers and songwriters. She comes from a generation that grew up with video games, grungy flannel shirts, and alternative music, all of which drove parents CRAZY. With all teenage angst aside, the 1990s also brought us the Internet, which now binds us all. Keiko’s music is one of a kind, so don’t miss it!

Tuesday 5/15, 4pm SLT – Ratepoint Island

Hey folks, I am finally back into the swing of things.  I just received word that my dissertation was accepted by the graduate office at the University of Miami. I am so relieved.  Join me at Ratepoint Island this afternoon at 4pm to celebrate and listen to some good music.

I am back!

I am back, and I’ll be playing at Galveston tonight at 5pm SLT.  I can’t wait!

Big Opportunity for Musicians and Secondtunes.com

3pointD.com » Blog Archive » Amazon Web Services Opens Second Life Site

I’m sure Amazon will be interested in knowing how to sell real media to SL patrons via lindens. I think Bobby Fairweather has a good chance at catching their attention. His system is very unique, but he needs someone to drive it. Amazon would be a a good company to do that.

DONE!!!

Folks, I am relieved to say that I just handed in my copy of the dissertation for my Master’s of Music here at the University of Miami, FL.  I am DONE, and I’ll be returning home tomorrow to play the Relay for Life event at 5pm SLT in Eden.
